城市街区广场作为人类相互交流和传递信息的一种媒介，是人类城市发展的见证。作为人类生活的一个方面，为人类提供着丰富多彩的视觉空间和休闲空间。城市街道广场设计是具有公众意义、审美需求和所涉及城市街道环境的设计，为方便人们生活提供服务为提高城市功效和美好生活做出贡献。城市街区广场是融合了建筑、美学、植物学、生态学、规划设计等多门学科的综合设计，因此，应注意各学科的综合运用，突出植物学、生态学与美学的有机结合。

Urban block square, as a medium of people communication andpassing information, is the witness of urban development. It also as one aspectof human life provides people colorful visual and leisure space. Meanwhile, urbanblock square design should take overall consideration on the publicrequirements, aesthetic demand and environment of the blocks, makingconvenience for people’s life, improving the urban function and creating thebeauty in life. The comprehensive design integrated with architecture, aesthetics,botany, ecology, planning, etc. so should pay attention to the comprehensiveuse of the multi-discipline and organically combine the botany, ecology andaesthetics together.
