1. Look at the picture and the title of the passage in Activity and say what you know about Liu Xiang and how he became a sports hero.

2. Read the passage quickly and answer the questions.

   Who won a gold medal at the Athens Olympic Games?  

Where was Liu Xiang born? In Shanghai.

3. Read the passage and choose the sentence which best expresses the main idea.

苏墨余老师提出：本单元可以结合Module 3 Hero.因此可以把关于刘翔的Video，换成邓亚萍的。然后，通过邓亚萍的事迹复习英雄的概念。然后导入主题：Li Xiang is an excellent athlete too. Let’s see if he could be called hero.

陈格老师提出：在细读之后，可以让学生根据表格内容复述刘翔的事迹，既可以锻炼学生的口语表达能力，又可以增强学生对文章篇章结构的理解。于是我们在细读结束后增添了一个retell的活动
