          Unit 4 What Can You Do? A Let’s learn

一、      教学目标与要求:

1.掌握四会词组:cook the meals,  sweep the floor,  clean the bedroom,  water the flowers,  empty the trash.

2.听懂、会说句型:I’m helpful.I can….并能在具体语境中运用。

3.培养学生热爱劳动的观念,增强学生生活自理能力。

二、      教学建议:

Step 1: Warm up

1.师生对话。                                          

T: Good morning.

Ss: Good morning.

T: How are you?

Ss:Fine,thank you. And you?

T:I’m fine,thanks.

2.Revise some words:living room/ kitchen/ bedroom/ garden

3.Revise some verbs: sing draw eat drink run  read books    play ping-pong   play football   clean the board 

clean the window

T:I can sing.What can you do?

Ss answer.

4.Have a chant.

Open the door. Turn on the light. Sweep the floor. Clean the window.

Step 2: Presentation

1.Teach “sweep the floor.

Ss read,then spell and read.

2.Teach “clean the bedroom”,using the picture.

T:Who is she?

Ss:She is Amy.

T:What can she do?She can clean the bedroom.

3.Teach “water the flowers”,using the real objects.

T:What are these?

Ss:Flowers.

T:(Do the action)I can water the flowers.

4.Get Ss to read the three phrases together        one by one

5.Teach “cook the meals”,using the toy.(Do the action)

T:I can cook the meals,too.cook the meals(Do the action )

Read       spell and read      

Together       Teams      one by one

6.Teach “empty the trash”,using the picture.

T:Who is she?

Ss:She is Sarah.

T:What can she do?

Ss:She can empty the trash.

7.Teach “helpful”,using the word card.

Step 3:Drill

1.Listen and repeat twice.

2.T:Give you one minute,remember the phrases quickly as you like.Let me see who is quick.OK?

Ss:OK!

3.Get some Ss to read the cards with the phrases.

4.(Take out the small cards without the phrases)

T:Look at these pictures.Can you put them correctly?

Get some Ss to put the pictures correctly on the blackboard.

Step 4: Practice

1.T:I do the actions .You say the phrases.

① The teacher does the actions.

② One student does the actions.

③ Work in groups.

2.T:I say the phrases.You do the actions.

①T         Ss  

②Get two groups to come to the front to act.

3.Chant:

Go to the living room. Sweep the floor.

Go to the bedroom. Clean the bedroom.

Go to the garden. Water the flowers.

Go to the kitchen. Cook the meals.

4.Fill in the blanks.

Step 5: Consolidation and extension

Homework:

1.Write down the dark phrases at P46 for three times.

2.Introduce the things what you can do to your parents and do them at home.
