Ok, right then. The topic on my card is “describe a rule in school you agree or disagree with”.Well, I’d like to talk about the rule that every student has to wear a uniform.

The reason for choosing to talk about school uniforms is that, well somehow it remains a universal debate that rages on in school to wear uniforms or not.

Firstly, with regard to why the rule is needed, the first thing that pops into my head is that school uniforms contribute positively to students’ behavior. Educators and experts who are pro school uniforms firmly believe students feel more professional and behave accordingly when they are in uniform. That probably has something to do with that pupils develop a real sense of belonging and discipline, to some extent, I would say.

And moving on to how the rule is enforced, I’d like to say it not only requires all levels of staff in school to monitor students in terms of what they wear. Once they spot any different attire rather than the uniform that they are supposed to wear, students may be fined or given a warning.

Anyhow, a sound system is highly needed to help with implementing this rule.

Finally, Let me come to talk with you about the last question why I agree or disagree with the rule. Personally, I am in favor of this rule. Quite a few reasons account for that. For starters,by putting on identical uniforms, students can be immune to and not distracted by fashion trends and status symbol clothing. As a result, I suppose there is less focus on fashion but more focus on learning itself. Hmmm, well, another thing I can think of is that students develop a close bond when they wear uniforms. Their all-for-one-and-one-for-all comradery manifests itself when something happens about the school or its students.

All in all, I agree with the rule about school uniforms.
