Pisces New Moon 

　　We are talking Pisces this month with 7 planets in the sign of the mystic, our inner doorway to the infinite. With Pisces we are invited to grow in consciousness. When we are impacted by Piscean energies we are in the process of growing into a new dimension of self with an expanded consciousness. 

Pisces is the 12th and last sign in one cycle of evolution. When Neptune entered his own sign in March 2011, a new spiritual dimension of consciousness started to evolve. Historically, these were times of spiritual awakenings and the beginnings of new religions. This month we might perceive our circumstances and the people around us filtered through a Piscean perspective of compassion and oneness. We might feel more sensitive and vulnerable than usual but also inspired by an ever deepening opening towards our divine source. Pisces takes the mysteries of the heart beyond our limiting logical mind, into the possibilities of unconditional love and appreciation of life. 

The shadow side of Pisces is the need to numb our sensitivity, turn on the TV 24/7, eat more food or consume more drugs and alcohol than usual. Pisces is the expert on strategies of escapism, transcendence and how to retreat into a world of dreams and fantasies without any integration into the real world.

　　The New Moon is always a new start on a new theme. It is a wonderful time for inner healing, profound insights and a rising into a new dimension of consciousness. We can navigate the ocean of the God Neptune with more time to BE STILL. What a concept in our busy, busy lifestyle with so much coming at us all at once. If you make time this month for visiting your inner world, meditate more, sit in the garden with a cup of tea before you start your day, work in the garden, take walks in nature, maybe paint or dance to stay in good shape. Focusing on gratitude every morning throughout March will lift you up into higher states.

　 The New Moon energy had conjunctions of Neptune, Mars, Chiron, Mercury, and the Moon – all in Pisces (water) - and squaring Jupiter (which expands everything to the greatest possible degree. It’s a deluge of emotions (water). It brings an insanity of wreckless abandonment, bursts of simmering rage, instinctual impulses to escape and escape fast, pain, and something akin to the Furies. This would have been the warning about the New Moon energy that fell in line Saturday and Sunday. 

　　We are still under these effects and we need to slow things down. There is a tendency to drive very fast and not even know it. But the main thing is dealing with our emotions, not denying or escaping them. Even the most even-keeled, emotionally grounded individuals might be challenged by the intensity of emotions. Wrtiing can help things flow much better. Any type of creative art that is employed to channel emotions will have “magical” properties (power). With all of this you have to think like a Pisces. If you are finding this not much fun, you understand what it is like to be a Pisces. It’s complicated. But the power to express/create beauty – in all its forms – and attune to Spirit is unrivalled.
