My Neighbor Totoro is a fantastic animated film which I watched several times. The film is a description of the Japanese beautiful nature before presence of rapid economic development.Only children can see the magical world,which has rich imagination.The main plot is:

Because the mother is ill and needs to convalesce in the countryside,Satsuki and Mei sisters follow their father and move to the countryside to look after their mother during the summer vacation. One day Mei has fun and looks for acorns alone in the yard.She accidentally sees little totoro. Little totoro wants to get rid of Mai, but leads Mei to the sleeping giant Totoro side,which lets Satsuki and Mei sisters excited. One rainy evening, the sisters wait in the station where their father gets off work. Big tororo appears.Satsuki lends it an umbrella, but the tororo regards it as a very interesting toy. Tororo gives Satsuki and Mei oak fruit that makes the sisters very happy. They also see the cat bus which tororo takes a ride.When the summer is coming to an end, Satsuki and Mei receive telegram from hospital.Their mother is sick.The sisters are very worried about their mother. Mei complains that her sister does not care for her and Satsuki blames Mei not listen to her.They quarrel with each other.Mei wants to go to hospital to see her mother but she is lost.Satsuki asks tororo for help and tororo calls cat bus which helps Satsuki find Mei and sends them to hospital.They see their mother is well and they are very happy.

The film describes beautiful childhood of two girls and love among all the livings.The narration of daily life is moving and warm.
