动词不定式的基本结构是“to +动词原形”,有时可以不带to, 动词不定式没有人称和数的变化，在句中

除了不能作谓语以外，其它成分都能做。

   To play in the street is dangerous.(主语)

   To learn a foreign language well is not easy.(主语)

   He wants to be a pilot.(宾语)

   They hope to travel all over the world.(宾语)

   His dream is to become an astronaut.(表语)

   Her wish is to go to Oxford University.(表语)

   The best time to visit China is spring and autumn.(定语)

   Would you please give me something to eat?(定语)

   We are happy to see you again.(原因状语)

   The doctors were surprised to hear the bad news.(原因状语)

   Many people went to the hospital to see the hero.(目的状语)

   He got up early to catch the first bus.(目的状语)

   What would you like me to do?(宾语补足语)

   I told him to turn down the radio.(宾语补足语)

动词不定式作主语时，常用it作形式上的主语放句首，真正的主语放句末,以避免句子头重脚轻。如：

   It’s difficult to learn English well. = To learn English well is difficult.(=Learning English well is difficult.)

   It’s pleasant to lie on the beach in summer. = To lie on the beach in summer is pleasant.(=Lying on the beach in summer is pleasant.)

动词不定式的否定结构为“not to+动词原形”，如：

decide not to do sth;  tell sb not to do sth;  ask sb not to do sth;  want sb not to do sth

The policeman told the boys not to play in the street.

动词不定式可以和疑问词what, which, how, where, when等连用，构成不定式短语，如：

We don’t know what to buy for her.

The question is how to help him.

I want to know when and where to go.

不带to的情况：

see / hear / watch / find / feel / notice sb do   

let/make/have sb do 让某人干某事     help sb (to) do
