方丈浑连水，
天台总映云。
人间长见画，
老去恨空闻。

此生随万物，

Written on a Picture of Fairy
Isles
Du Fu
Faily isles between sea and
sky
And Mount Terrace scrape clouds
on high.
I have seen their pictures
remain.
But I’ve heard of their names
in vain.
General Fan’s boat is rather
small;
The immortal crane will not
fall.
I’ll live a life as others
do.
How could I leap out of the
blue?
