一位漂亮女孩走到一家百货公司的布料柜台前，说：“我想买这种布料做一件新裙子。它要多少钱？”

“每尺只要一个吻。”男店员不怀好意地笑答。

“那很好。”女孩说，“我要10尺。”

男店员的脸上满是期待和热盼。他迅速量出布料，把它包好。然后，挑逗性地把它拿给女孩。

女孩抢过包裹，指着站在她身边的那个怪老头，笑着说：“爷爷买单。”

注：码（Yard）是英制长度单位，1码等于3英尺或0.9144米。由于中国不使用“码”这个长度单位，这里将“码”直接翻译成“尺”。与码和尺的换算长度无关。

Walking up to a department store's fabric counter，the pretty girl said：“I would like to buy this material for a new dress。How much does it cost？”

“Only one kiss per yard。”replied the male clerk with a smirk。

“That's fine。”said the girl，“I'll take ten yards。”

With expectation and anticipation written all over his face，the clerk quickly measured out the cloth，wrapped it up，then teasingly held it out。

The girl snapped up the package，pointed to the old geezer standing beside her，and smiled：“Grandpa will pay the bill。”
