Motherhood
It took me some time to
want to write this post.
I think many mothers would understand why.
I think many mothers would understand why.
Perhaps there should have
been a handbook somewhere that's titled "Motherhood. Hahaha."
This Hahaha isn't a mocking laugh.
It is one let out from part relief, part smug, after a bout of nervousness. A rather long bout.
It is a laugh that cannot be stifled in knowing the AMAZING roller coaster ride for the person that deems to pick up the book. (Ya ok, there is a tinge of mockery for the heedless, cocky, confident moms-to-be. READ: ME)
After all, it really is one of those best kept secret about the avalanche of well, everything.

I cannot begin to fill in
the blank. But a few adjectives sprung to mind.
Astonishing, reassuring,
intense, extraordinary.
If you think some of these
adjectives can swing both ways on the scale of happiness and a
meltdown, trust me, that is the intention.
But because I had already some kind of meltdown during my fledgling career, it was better managed this time with my eye on the prize.
(I don't think it is wise to go into details here or I might get a call from the family planning association.)

My prize. It's a little
bundle of softness. On a rainy night, it might even be a little
sack of warmth.
It is a soothed gurgle, a quiet moment.
It is a kicking in the bath tub.
It is a ferocious sucking on the teat.
It is a further turn in the wheel of the weighing machine.
It is a sparkle of recognition in the eye.
It is the accidental and intentional babbles.
It is the smiles with the eyes wide shut.
It is the smiles. All the smiles.
It is a soothed gurgle, a quiet moment.

It is a further turn in the wheel of the weighing machine.
It is a sparkle of recognition in the eye.
It is the accidental and intentional babbles.
It is the smiles with the eyes wide shut.
It is the smiles. All the smiles.
All the delight in the
world is there, and all the prizes in the world that matters is
there.
Just remember, keep your
eye on the prize.
And my prize doesn't just like to be hugged, he likes to hug!! XD

初为人母
过了很久才能动笔写这篇文章。
我想很多母亲都明白其中的缘由。
也许早该有一本叫做“成为母亲。哈哈哈”的手册。
这里的“哈哈哈”并不是一种戏谑的笑。而是在经历过一阵紧张不安之后，出于安慰的笑，带着一点点得意的感觉。
对于那些注定会翻开这本手册的人来说，在亲身经历了像坐过山车一样跌宕的奇妙感受之后，这种笑是难以掩饰的。（好吧，对于那些粗心、骄傲和自信的孕妇们是有一丝嘲弄的语气。例如：我自己）

终于一切突如其来地蜂拥而至，令我始料未及。

母性是_______。
我无法立刻想到答案，但一些形容词涌入我脑海：
惊奇的、安心的、紧张的、特别的。
不过如果你觉得这样的形容词可以同时表达出幸福和崩溃的双重含义，呵呵呵呵。。。
在出道初期，我已经历过一种崩溃，所以这一次我觉得自己掌控得更好一些。因为我把注意力放在它所带来的收获上。（这里就不再详述了，否则可能会接到家庭计划协会的电话）。

我的奖励，是一包柔软。是雨夜里的一袋温暖。
是抚慰人心的笑声，是安静无声的一瞬。
是在浴盆里的手舞足蹈之时。
是在贪婪地吸吮着乳汁之时。
是在体重计上的数字又涨了一点点之时。
是在他眼中会突然流露出似曾相识。
是在他口中会偶尔说出有意识或无意识的话语。
是在他紧闭双眼露出笑容。
是抚慰人心的笑声，是安静无声的一瞬。
是在浴盆里的手舞足蹈之时。
是在贪婪地吸吮着乳汁之时。
是在体重计上的数字又涨了一点点之时。
是在他眼中会突然流露出似曾相识。
是在他口中会偶尔说出有意识或无意识的话语。
是在他紧闭双眼露出笑容。
是在那真实的微笑，各个微笑。
世间全部的快乐即凝结于此，而世间最重要的奖项也非其莫属。
