What is grammar? Grammar is the ruler of the language kingdom who makes rules and rules the language kingdom accordingly.
汉语俗语有云:“不以规矩无以成方圆”,语法就是这里的规矩。英语语法包括词法和句法两个内容。我们从句法开始学习。因为交流是以句子为单位的。况且,学习词法这种微观的内容就像科学家研究细胞一样要用显微镜之类的高端精密仪器,而我们没有,所以从句法学起。这样有很多好处,比如,将词汇与语法有机结合起来,语法也就不那么抽象,而且可以帮助记单词,同时丰富我们的句库,利于口语交流与写作。
What is grammar? There are eight parts of speech in the English sentences. The ballad thereafter shows a general idea of what the English grammar is about.
Every name is called a noun,
As field and fountain, street and town.
In place of a noun the pronoun stands,
As he and she can clap their hands.
The adjective describes a thing,
As magic wand and bridal ring.
The verbs mean action and something done,
To read and write, to jump and run.
How things are done the adverbs tell,
As quickly, slowly, badly and well.
The preposition shows relation,
As in the street and at the station.
Conjunctions join, in many ways,
Sentences, words or phrase and phrase.
The interjection cries out, “Hark!
I need an exclamation mark!”
Articles belong to a particular type of particle,
As a person, an apple and the people and a beautiful article.
The number of articles is three,
Which belongs to the category of numeral
And numeral itself is numeral and contains the cardinal and the ordinal
As one, two and three being the cardinal and first and last being the ordinal.
What is a sentence? A sentence is a group of words that you use to say something. It must have a subject and a verb, but it may not have an object.
What is an imperative? When you are giving orders or commands or instructions to one person or a group of people, you use the base form of the verb. This use of the verb is called the imperative.
