A college teacher invited two businessmen to dinner at his home. One of the two men never went to school when he was young and was worried that he couldn’t answer other men’s questions correctly. The Earth is a water ball. Without water, life would not be able to live on the planet.

More than one billion people around the world cannot get clean water.

Diseases carried by water are the leading cause of death in the world.

Every year, 40 billion hours are lost to carrying water, a chore mainly done by women and girls.

Every 15 seconds around the world, a child dies from a disease caused by unsafe water. The water problem is more serious in Africa. Some places receive more than enough water, while a lot of others experience long droughts. Droughts lasting five years are a common problem in Africa.

Parents always try to make their children go to bed on time. In Scotland, however, all the family will be enjoying sweet dreams in the future, as pupils are having classes on how to sleep.

This is a project by Sleep Scotland. It gives free classes at three schools. The project is to help solve the problems caused by a lack of sleep.

A study shows that one in four teenagers cannot get nine hours of sleep a night. This is making them become fat and unhappy.

Nikki Cameron, a member of Sleep Scotland, said that teachers can tell children what will happen if they don’t have enough sleep, and teachers can see it in their behavior at school and in their health.

Parents are the closest people to you in the world and they would do anything for you. But it’s a pity that many teenagers don’t care about their parents. They don’t know when their parents’ birthdays are. And they don’t know their parents’ hobbies, either. Sometimes, they even don’t respect their parents. And they often argue with them or say something bad to them. All those will influence the relationship between you and your parents.
