Honorable Principal and teachers, fellow students, honorable guests！
I am Li Hua.
Today, it’s my greatest pleasure to represent our entire school to extend our heartfelt welcome to a group of 8 students from New Zealand.
Guys, I know it’s been a rough, long ride to fly to China for the first time. But be rest assured that we’ll make you feel at home.
I am certain we have a lot of things to learn from one another.
After breaking up, we’ll take you on a quick tour of our school facilities, and you can tell us how they are different from those in your school.
Then, we’ll treat you to a nice lunch at our school canteen. Don’t worry! We don’t have worms or animal eyeballs on the menu. If you have allergy or diet issues, let us know in advance so that we can make accommodations.
After that, we’ll break into 4 small groups for an-hour-long discussions on various topics.
At around 3:30, we’ll meet again at our grand hall for an afternoon snack, karaoke and dancing. I’ll give you a chance to dazzle us with your angelic voices and fancy feet.
Before we bid you farewell at around 5:00, we have some souvenirs for you to remember us by.
I hope you would enjoy this fun-filled and rewarding day. I know we will.
