Floating or Sinking?

     These two weeks, we Nursery 2 children learned the unit of Floating and Sinking. At carpet time, children enjoyed these stories and knew the basic meaning of Floating and Sinking. What's meaningful was that children had the chance to try. They chose objects and put them in water. Then they checked the answer together. They loved it so much! What‘s more, we colored and made things that could float or sink, such as boatsducks, elephants and so on. After deep understanding of the theme, we made a small book. During these days, I believed that the children not only acquired knowledge but also experienced the happiness of try.

     After the children knew basic meaning of floating, kayla prepared a box with water inside and some objects that can float on water.

 Children were excited to try! Maybe, some children knew the answer through the experience of life, but nothing was more interesting than they checked it themselves!

They also tried more things and guessed whether they would float or sink.

During this curriculum, they made some boats. They were serious to paint and using scissors!

These were some books about our theme. Stories of fish were their favorite.

This was the carpet time, they enjoyed the stories together and discussed together.

They also did a lot to do a small book. Sometimes, they needed a little help from the teacher. However, given their age, they did really very well!

I hope we Nursery2 children can learn more and experience more next theme!
