Monday:Arrival to Seneca College. Seneca Residence Welcome Dinner.


Tuesday:Class instructions (afternoon) Child Development: 

The foundation for teaching & Learning:

·   Brain Development

·   Sensitive Stages

·   Behaviour Guidance


Wednesday:Visit Kindergarten / Daycare(morning) Class instruction (afternoon)

Play/Inquiry:

·   Child as Explorer and Scientist

·   How children learn

·   Role of the adult

·   Image of child

·   ELECT Developmental Continuum

·  Behaviour Guidance


Thursday:Visit Kindergarten / Daycare(morning);Class instruction (afternoon)

Environment as Teacher:

·    The learning environment

·    Loose materials/ intelligent materials

·    Outdoor play

·    Behaviour Guidance

·    Self-Regulation


Friday:Visit School / Daycare(morning);Class instruction (afternoon)

Approaches to ECE:

·   Philosophies of pedagogy

·   Thinking, creativity vs. rote learning


Saturday:One-day tour to visit Toronto and Niagara Falls 

Sunday: Study


Monday:The art of teaching English through storytelling.

(Will be taught by Canadian famous storytelling artists.)

·       *  Critical thinking and co-construction vs. rote learning, and Inclusion will be woven through curriculum, and modeled through teaching style.
