Step1:Warm-up and revision
1. Enjoy some phonic songs before class. (Letter sounds, Alphabet song)

3. Greeting students and daily talking.

A: Show me your … book.

Step2: Presentation
1. Lead in.
(1)After chant, PPT shows a pig bag.
T: Look, what’s this?
Ss: A schoolbag. /A pig.
PPT shows another pig and milk, review the words: pig, big, six, milk.
(2)Let’s read.
The pig is big.
The pig is drinking milk.
The pig has six bags of milk.
2. Let’s spell.
(1) Learn: white, like.
T: What colour is the milk?
Ss: It’s white.
T: The milk is white. Do you like milk?
Ss: ….
T: The pig likes milk.
PPT shows
Let’s Chant : i-e----/aɪ/(Ii), i-e----/aɪ/(Ii), i-e----/aɪ/(Ii), i-e, i-e, i-e.
(2)Can you read?
PPT shows ite, ike, ine, ice, ive, Ss try to read.
(3)Can you read?
a. PPT shows ite, Ss try to say some words with ite: kite, white ….
Chant: i-e i-e i-e, i-e*t--ite, ite ite ite,
wh-ite---- white, b-ite----bite, k-ite----kite.
b. Say some words with ike, ine, ice, ive.
c. Pair work: Choose one to make a chant like above with your partner.
(4) Let’s chant
a. T and Ss read and spell the words together: like, kite, five, nine, rice.
b. Let’s chant:
See the nice new kite. With the big number nine.
Do you like the nice new kite? Yes, it is very fine.
(5)Listen, repeat and read.
T plays the tape, Ss listen, repeat and read: Read, listen and chant.
3. Listen, circle and write.
(1)Read and spell the words: five, six, kite, big.
PPT shows a kite, then 5 kites, last 6 kites.
Ask and answer between T and Ss to lead out the words: five, six, kite, big.
Example: T: Look, what’s this?
Ss: It’s a kite.
T: How many kites do you see?
Ss: Five/Six.
T: Look at the white kite, it’s big.
(2) Listen, circle and write.

(1)PPT shoes the story one sentence by one sentence. T and Ss read together.
(2)Ss read the story by themselves. Pay attentions on the words with i-e.

3. Finish the exercise on the workbook.
4. Try to find more words with i-e.

通过欣赏歌曲和唱歌曲,活跃课堂气氛,把学生自然引入英语学习氛围。
师生谈话复习A部分所学的单词和对话,帮助学生巩固所学内容。
说歌谣要求学生边说边举起相应的书做动作,通过表演既可以活跃课堂气氛,又能起到复习单词的作用。
由chant自然导入a pig bag, 再过渡到复习单词pig, big, six, milk, 归纳字母i在闭音节单词中的发音,衔接自然,为新课学习做铺垫。
PPT出示开音节和闭音节单词各数个,老师帮助学生一起归纳字母i的发音规则,让学生初步感知开、闭音节的读音规则。
为区分闭音节中i//ɪ /音, 故操练时引导学生读作i-e----/aɪ/(Ii)。
通过歌谣等各种活动帮助学生更好地感知i在开音节中的发音。
用各种练习巩固所学知识。
借助PPT通过师生问答形式引出要求书写的四个单词,使课堂不显得单调乏味。
引导学生反复朗读六个单词,在朗读中感知i在开、闭音节中的发音。
小故事来自Fantastic Phonics Book, 经过改编,降低了难度,有助于学生巩固本节课所学的新知识。
作业是课堂的延续,让学生在做作业的过程中达到复习巩固所学知识的目的.
