别人如何对待我，是我人生的因果；

我待别人怎么样，是我修行至几何。

请听一禅小和尚，人生故事与你说。

生命是说故事人，故事引你细揣摩。

How others treat me, is the cause and effect of my life;

How I treat others, I practice geometry.

Please listen to a Zen monk, life story with you.

Life is a storyteller, the story leads you to ponder.

但是到底为什么，也曾道理听很多。

依然过不好这生？其中缘由是为何？

其实世间大道理，真正使用有几许？

都比不上一个个，直指人心的故事。

But exactly why, also heard a lot of reason.

Still not having a good life? Why?

In fact, the truth of the world, really use how much?

Are not as good as one, directly to the heart of the story.

因为改变人生的，不是道理是智慧。

国学君今想和你，分享四个小故事。

故事虽然都很短，但是都很有哲理。

说透我们的一生，借鉴终身都受益。

King Guoxue would like to share with you four short stories.

The stories are short, but they are philosophical. 

Say through our life, learn from life all benefit.

一位禅师旅途中，遇到一人不喜他。

那人连续好几天，用尽方法污蔑他。

禅师转身问那人：我来问你一问题。

有人送礼你不受，那这份礼属谁呢？

A Zen master was traveling when he met someone who didn't like him.

The man has been smearing him for days.

The Zen master turned to the man and said, Let me ask you a question.

If someone gives you a gift and you don't accept it, who does it belong to?

那人回答当然是：属于原本送礼人。

禅师笑说没说错，诽谤又能怎么的？

我不接受你谩骂，那你是在骂自己。

所以不管怎么说，我心不动便可以。

The man replied, of course, that it belonged to the original giver.

Zen master smiled and said no wrong, how can slander?

I don't accept your name-calling. You're name-calling yourself.

So for what it's worth, I'm fine.

别人怎么数落你，那是别人的事情。

唯一真能伤到你，就是你的太在意。

有人刻薄嘲讽你，你就尖酸地回击。

有人无礼看不起，你就把他去鄙视。

How others judge you, that is other people's business.

The only thing that really hurts you is that you care too much.

When someone sneers at you, you snap back. 

If someone is rude and looks down upon, you despise him.

你讨厌的那些人，就是这样轻易地。

把你变成你自己，最最讨厌的样子。

这才真正是敌人，对你伤害到极致。

无动于衷那才是，对他最好的反击。

The people you hate, it's just so easy.

Turn you into yourself, the most hated version of yourself.

This is the real enemy, and it hurts you the most.

Doing nothing is the best way to fight him.

  

北宋词人苏东坡，禅师佛印是朋友。

一天他们面对面，坐着参禅兴悠悠。

苏东坡笑问佛印：我打坐样今如何？

佛印信口称赞道：果然真像一尊佛。

Su Dongpo, a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, and Buddha Yin, a Zen master, were friends.

One day they sat facing each other in meditation.

Su Dongpo asked Buddha Yin with a smile: How am I doing in meditation?

Buddha seal letter oral praise: really like a Buddha.

 

苏东坡心很高兴，满脸堆笑心中乐。

禅师佛印也问他：学士那你看我呢？

苏东坡因看他胖，觉得好笑打趣说：

禅师真像一堆粪，我觉真不怎么的。

Su Dongpo was very happy, smiling in his heart.

Zen master Buddha Seal also asked him: Bachelor, what do you think of me?

Seeing him fat, Su Dongpo found it funny and said jokingly:

Zen master is like a pile of dung, I think really not very much.

佛印听后不生气，置之一笑便了之。

苏东坡回家中后，得意告诉苏小妹。

自己今天赢了印，心满意足好舒心。

小妹不以为然说：输的是你赢是印。

The Buddha Yin did not get angry when he heard this.

After Su Dongpo home, proud to tell Su Xiaomei.

I won the seal today and feel very satisfied.

Little sister said: lose is you win is printed.

故事使人感悟深：活在世上每个人。

都互相为参照镜，看清你我的本真。

别人看你是什么，他自己就是什么。

别人注解构不成，万分之一的我你。

The story makes people feel deeply: live in the world everyone.

Each other as a mirror, see you and me.

He is what others see you as. 

Others note deconstruction, one in ten thousand I you.

结果恰恰暴露了，一览无余他自己。

因为无论你是谁，都会有人看不起。

那绝不是因为你，做得不够好的事。

而是因他的眼界，只有那么高而已。

He was exposed, in full view of himself.

Because no matter who you are, someone will look down on you.

It wasn't something you didn't do well enough. 

But because of his vision, only so high.

两位禅者一路行，走在泥泞的路间。

看到一位美少女，站在一处浅滩前。

穿着丝绸的罗裙，不能跨过浅滩去。

师兄就说小姑娘，来吧我背你过去！

The two meditators walked along the muddy road.

I saw a beautiful girl, standing in front of a shallows.

You can't cross the shallows in your silk skirt.

The elder brother said, "Little girl, come and let me carry you!"

过了水塘大师兄，轻轻放下美少女。

便和师弟一同行，继续赶路向前去。

师弟跟在师兄后，心里不悦不作声。

晚上到了寺庙后，终忍不住问师兄：

After the pond elder brother, gently put down beautiful girl.

So he and his brother went on their way.

With the elder brother after the heart displeased silent.

When I arrived at the temple in the evening, I could not help asking my elder brother:

师兄笑着回答说：其中奥秘你不知：

Aren't we monks supposed to obey the precepts?

One of the commandments, in particular, is not to go near women.

But why did you. Carrying a woman across a river?

The elder brother answered with a smile: You do not know the secret:

有些事情就如此，别人云淡风轻矣。

而你念念尚不忘，永远挂念在心底。

"The woman you speak of! I put her down a long time ago.

But you're obsessed, and you still care?

Some things are just like that. Others are just like that.

And you don't forget, always miss in the bottom of my heart.

其实世上本无事，都是庸人自扰之。

所有烦恼都是你，硬是强加给自己。

人生生活本就是，没有过不去的事。

只有想不开的人。就是不放过自己。

In fact, there is nothing in the world, are much ado about nothing.

All your troubles are yours, forced upon yourself.

Life is this, there is no way to go.

Only people who don't think so. I just don't let myself go.

世上根本没有人，让你解脱获自由。

只有心头无闲事，便是人间自在人。

 There is no one in the world to set you free.Only mind no business, is the world at ease.

唐朝时代有两位，得道高僧论道经：

一个僧名叫寒山，一个僧名叫拾得。

寒山曾经问拾得：世间有人啡谤我。

欺我辱我笑话我，轻我贱我欺骗我。

In the Tang Dynasty, there were two eminent monks who had attained the Tao and talked about the Tao Sutra:

One monk was named Han Shan and the other was named Shidi.

我将如何处置乎？请教如何处理啊？

拾得回答寒山说：忍他让他避开他。

由他耐他敬畏他，根本不要理会他。

再过几年你便去，真心实意看看他。

What shall I do? How to deal with it?

Shizi answered Han Shan and said, Endure him and let him avoid him.

Let him stand in awe of him and ignore him at all.

In a few years you'll go and see him with all your heart.

冷眼面对着别人，无缘无故的攻击，

你一点都不在乎，就是最好的回击。

你的超越将胜过，一切辩白的言语。

当你不断向上畔，站到万山之巅时。

In the face of others, unprovoked attacks,

You don't care. That's the best response.

Your transcendence will surpass all words of justification.

When you go up to the top of the mountains.

蓦然回头会发现，那些讨厌你的人。

依旧还在原地上，但却只能仰视你。

不争不不解释，时间尽留给自己。

人情冷暖是非对，岁月终会打赏你。

Suddenly look back and find those who hate you.

Still in situ, but can only look up to you.

Do not dispute do not explain, time to yourself.

Human kindness is right and wrong, time will reward you.
