The consequence of the two-hour exercises was a deep 3- hour sleep and light pain spreading to every coner of the body. But  I was still not conscious enough  to read after I left the bed. I watched the converstaion with Manuel Castells agaign. I like this guy and tried to catch all his words in the interview. Watch more, catch more. I was interested in his suggestion on how to prepare the futur for the students in a network society:

      Education is more important than ever, but educaiton is not simply the tradtional form of education. It is to develop what I call self-programming capability which is a ability to adapt to learn to learn, and to learn how to use the knowlege into the implementation of the projects throughout the life. So buliding on the one hand the knowledge capability, not to have lots of information, but to know how to find information and how to recombine the information.  Obivously means very good and very strong in broad education,that is good mathematics, good writing skill, a little bit of philosophy, a little bit of history and geography, sounds traditional, then the computer will do the  work almost automatically when we know what to ask. On the other hand, on the persanatily side, since the world is constantly changing, it is essential education helps to provide security personality and flexibility personality. In terms of flexibility personality , young people are going to go through extrordinary turbulance in their life. Finish the notion that you find your parnter, you get marry, you have your children, no no no, get ready for everything,and to reconstruct your life constantly with flexibility. But at the same time, you should know who you are, so you need value, but no many vaue or you will get crazy, Just a few solid vale, foundemental value. To conclude, self-programming capablities, education, education, a few solid values, flexibility to open up to life.

     Question arises: since people in China are putting much emphsises on stability of life, where is the development of the country located and where may the country go? we sholud bear in mind such suggestioins were given in 2001. Aslo, I think the suggetions are good for mothers who take the main role of raising her children. Apparently raising children includes not only physical developemt but, more important, directing the children to the future. The world is changing, and  children can no longer survive when they grow up if they track their parents. It is an ear which smokes tracking.
