2010年的4月底从香港飞曼谷再经停印度起降两次最终飞抵神秘王国不丹的帕罗。不丹王国（Kingdom of Bhutan）简称不丹，是位于中国和印度之间喜马拉雅山脉东段南坡的内陆国，水力发电是其经济重要组成部分，约72%水力所产电力售予印度。旅游业是不丹的另外一个重要经济支柱，于1974年开放外国人入境。牦牛、骡、马为重要运输工具。不丹的主要外贸对象和国防援助国是印度。不丹也是世界上最后一个开放电视与网络的国家。虽然不丹经济相当落后，但于06年发布的“全球快乐国度排行榜”中，不丹却名列第8位，位列亚洲第一位。

不丹人口70万人，主要居民为不丹族和尼泊尔洛昌人（也有部分印度外劳），不丹族主要分布在西部，约为人口的65%，尼泊尔族分布在南部，超过35%，另外还有藏族人。

宗卡语和英语为官方用语，尼泊尔族人讲尼泊尔语。不丹是一个全民信教的宗教国家，国教是金刚乘，主要是竹巴噶举派，25%信奉印度教。最早的寺庙建于637年。印度教徒主要在南方，有湿婆派、毗湿奴派和性力派。也有印度教寺庙在廷布。不丹也有苯教，但大部分已经被红教吸收。
