Las Vegas

Las Vegas is famous for its casinos and hotels and all its shows. Las Vagas is in Nevada because of its law, Nevada is allowed to gamble. But they don't call it gambling, they call it gaming, that's because they use a small amount of money every time.

Las Vegas hotels are very amazing. The hotel I stayed is called Excalibur, it looks like a castle. The hotel New York has a statue of liberty, Luxor looks like a pyramid, Paris has an Effeil Tower that is half tall of the real one, Venetian has a river inside it. All those hotels have thousands of rooms in it.

The best part are the shows. The "O" show takes place in Bellagio in a stage which has 15,000 gallons of water. The "Blue Man Group" is 3 men colored blue playing music with pipes, toilet and all those things weird. And Las Vegas has about 20-30 shows like these. They show every night.

This is the fabulous Las Vegas.

A day in USH

USH stands for Universal Studio Hollywood. It's in Los Angeles. It's a really nice place. The day I went to USH is a sunny day, it was really hot. We went there at about 9:40. First of all, we went to the Studio Tour, we saw 3D King Kong, experienced an earthquake in a stage and we saw a driver killed by a shark. I loved tour!

The next thing we saw is the Water World. It's a show about water and all those high-tech things. It was really cool, the coolest show I've ever seen.

Then we went to the lower lot. I went to the Mummy Ride first. It's a roller caster. Then I went to the Jurasic Park, we saw dinosaurs there. The last thing I did there was the Tranformer, that was my favorite. And this is my day in USH.

San Diego Sea World

San Diego Sea World is famous for its killer whale. It's in San Diego, and it's near the sea. But I think the best part there are the roller casters, they are really cool and awesome. I ride the Journey to Atlantis for about 4 times!

Another thing I like there are the shows. We saw 6 shows there in 1 day!

I liked 3 of those shows, the best one I think is the One Ocean. It includes killer whale, and that was awesome. The other two are Blue Horizon and Pets Rules. Blue Horizon is about dolphines, I like dolphines, I think they are cute. Pets Rules is actually a comedy. It was so funny that all I did at the show is laughing!

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is a really cool place. I went to the west part of the Grand Canyon. It's really high. It takes 2 hours from Las Vegas to there. I went to the Eagle Point first, actually I don't really like the sight there, the only thing fun there is the Sky Walk. It's a bridge made of glass that goes into the air, I didn't go there because I'm afraid of height.

The best sight in the west part is at the Huano Point. It was awesome! It's really hard to describe how you feel there, looking at the mountains. I went back to our bus after that.There was another fun fact there: a lot of people in our tour bought the helicopter ride, some of them waited for 4 hours for the ride. But somebody in the tour is really unlucky that when it's their turn, the pilot said that he is so tired that if he keep flying the helicopter, it won't be safe. Those people that didn't fly argued with the pilot because they waited so long! I don't know the result. I hate those pilots, because they caused the delay and we were almost late for the show that night.

Chinglish

Chinglish is a new word that means saying English in Chinese grammar or translating Chinese to English word to word without caring about grammar.

A really famous and popular Chinglish sentence is: long time no see. Although it's easy to understand, it doesn't obey the English grammar. Another example is that: once I went to a restaurant, I saw this "listen to coke ". I laughed so hard that I felt stomache. In Chinese, the letter "listen" also means a can, they translate "a can of coke" to "listen to coke".

The most funny one is the one I saw at a hotel "slip carefully". I know they want to say "be careful, don't slip". I wondered why should people slip carefully. Whatever, when I first saw this, I almost laughed my head off.
