I got US visa
today--business visa.
I am so so so happy,
could not believe it's true. It's kind of like a dream.
I called for an appointment on
12 Feb. As it's slow season, so I had an appointment on 22 Feb. But
then I changed it to 29, as I was afraid 9 days was too tight to
get everything done.
I got up at 7am, and then realized I did not pay the visa fee
which is requested to pay 1 day ahead, I was worried that I might
not to be interviewed today. When I got the bank, it's 8am, they
open at 8:30am. I asked the security guy if it's possible to pay
now and go for interview later, he said not a problem. A great
relief. Came upon a Chinese guy told me not allowed to bring the
handbag inside, and asked me if I had written the code of Chinese
name. He charges 20yuan for the code, 10yuan for keeping my
handbag. The code I can look for in the consulate, so I decided to
go back home to put away the handbag.
It was
around 8:40 when I walked in the consulate. After
turned in all documents they gave me a number, which is 808. I was
so happy it looks a good omen to me. So I crossed my fingers and
prayed in heart. I heard there was announcing a name and a girl
went upon and was told no need to queue, she would be interviewed
directly. I was sitting next to her, and asked her why she does not
need to queue? She said she has been interviewed many times so she
knows the officer. She is very pretty. I also asked is it true that
a real pretty single woman is easily turned down? She said yes,
it's true. so are you married or single, I was curious, she said I
am married.
I really
don't understand why so many applicants? Why US is so
popular?
A smiling
friendly woman officer with Asian look turned down a lot of
applicants and she even was very mean to a Chinese woman: how much
it costs you to get these documents? And finally she yelled to the
woman: please go out and never come back. I was joking with a girl
standing behind me as she thought the woman officer looks so
friendly that you can never judge people by their smiling. They
might hide a knife behind the smiling. After we witnessed how many
applicants were turned down by her, it approved my assumption was
right. I called her the smiling devil. I hope I was not interviewed
by her, hope I was interviewed by a young handsome guy, and hope he
would grant me visa if I gave him some sweet winks, hehe. But
unfortunately I was interviewed by the smiling devil, I was so
nervous, could not calm down. My voice was trembling. I greeted to
her: good morning, Madam. She
looked very happy and kept smiling till the end. I
was too nervous to hear her questions, I asked
again and again, fortunately she only asked me 2 questions: what
kind of products you company do? I showed her the profile of our
company and she was joking about to buy one. Then she asked my
business card, after that she gave me the green card told me to pay
for the delivery fee, I was a little shocked, so quick and so
simple? I prepared so many documents!!!! I was so
happy, and said to her: thank you very much, wish you a good
day.
Walking out
of the consulate I still could not believe it's true, so I showed
the security guy the little green card, he confirmed me. I was so
happy, could not help smirking, wanted to share this great news to
each good friend and gave them a big hug.
I got US business visa in
2008 and 2009, then in Aug, 2009, I got student
visa.
