2.catch up with sb  赶上某人（速度，进度等），也有叙旧的意思。

假设你在路上遇到很久没见的朋友，可以说：Hey,dude.Long time no see. I need to catch up with you. So how is it going ?

3.a bad time. 时机不好  Now is a bad time to talk to him

或者心情不爽，玩的不好，遭遇不好等。 She is having a bad time lately.她最近挺难受的。

4.stand erect 直立站着   A soldier must stand erect.

erect本身表示使直立，作动词的时候还表示男性那什么了。你猜。

5.what's new? 打招呼问好用的，意思是最近有什么新鲜事啊，有什么新进展啊。

6.you never know.  难说，谁也说不准。

7.paranoid. 多疑的；偏执狂

8.pregnant.怀孕的  怀了谁的孩子就在后面加with....,

she is pregnant with you child.她怀了你的孩子。

knock sb up.把谁肚子搞大了。

stomp本身表示践踏，在某人心上践踏，意思就是伤了某人的心

意思就是现在你不经常听到doy这个词。

所以以后别人说个不经常使用的词，你就说you don't get a lot of ....

你就可能跟我现在一样了。

where i am 表示我在哪，也可以表示我现在的状态。

本集后面有这句话：

Other people are satisfied with staying where they are.

其他人就安于现状。 where they are就是他们身处的状态，而不是真正的他们所在的方位。

14.it's up to sb.  由某人决定  it's up to you = it's your call= it's your decision.

15.i have no idea.= i don't know (i dunno)= I don't have a clue.

意思很简单，但是重点是口语中经常把be动词省略到，比如说：

what you gonna do tomorrow ? 你明天干吗？

29.Good shake. shake有握手的意思，所以这话意思是握手很给力。

因为美国人握手（特别是男的）都是很给力的，不像中国人握手只是意思下，

所以以后和老外握手要发力，不然他会觉得你weak.

30.be familiar with sb/sth 对...很熟悉

31.How you doing ? = How are you? = how are you doing ?= What's up ?(这个可以用来问好，不只是‘怎么了’的意思，表示问好的时候一般用not much回答）

32.gag 窒息 he is gagging.他快断气了

33.give me a 'for instance' = give me an example. 意思是举例看看呢。

另外，口语中give me 经常说出gimme, 所以那个[v]的音就不发了。

35.sth is on the table. 表示sth可以拿来讨论。

一般在名词后面加-to-be表示将来成为的一个东西或人物。

He is the president-to-be. 他要做总统了。

well up表示热泪盈眶

45.that was a cheap shot。 那招挺贱的。

cheap有便宜的意思，也有贱的意思。
