加州也在其他方面有其之巨。脸书（Facebook）、苹果（Apple）、惠普（Hewlett-Packard）、谷歌（Google）和英特尔公司（Intel）都坐落在加州的硅谷（Silicon Valley），当地有信息技术人员将近25万。
而且，加州是美国人口最多的州，共有居民3900万。而美国大陆海拔最高点和最低点均在加州——惠特尼山（Mount Whitney）高达14495英尺（4418米），死谷（Death Valley）的恶水滩（Bad Water）则低于海平面282英尺（85.9米）。
当然，加州还有以好莱坞（Hollywood）为中心的全球闻名的娱乐产业。你可以参观电影制片厂，亲临你最喜欢的美国电视节目和影片的拍摄场——说不定会看到一位名角！
