来自纽约巴纳德学院（Barnard College）的学生使者阿德里安娜·迪法奇奥（Adriana DiFazio）说：“看到世界汇聚到一个国际舞台，共同解决我们当前面临并且未来会继续面临的粮食来源问题，非常令人兴奋。”

米兰世博会菜单上的重头戏是粮食体系的未来。美国馆的主题是“美国粮食议程2.0：齐心协力保障全球粮食供给”（American Food 2.0: United to Feed the Planet），突出展示了美国粮食领域的创新者。

美国馆的互动展品专门介绍了美国农民、科学家、企业家和政府机构在如何探索满足日益增长的世界人口粮食需要的种种途径。参观者还可以品尝到高质量的食品和一些构成美国烹饪风格多样化的特色食材。

大学生使者是美国馆的形象代表。他们来自全美各地的94所高校，能够使用28种语言，包括意大利语、阿拉伯语、法语和汉语等。

迪法奇奥说：“我期待着有机会与其他文化互动，并且帮助介绍我对满足日益增长的世界人口粮食需要所面临的挑战和可能的解决办法的理解。”

米兰世博会将在10月31日结束。

U.S. students give the world something to chew on in Milan
 
When the USA Pavilion at the 2015 World Expo in Milan opened May 1, a group of American students welcomed the first visitors.

They are among the 120 student ambassadors who will guide visitors through exhibits showcasing how U.S. innovation helps solve global food challenges.

“It’s so exciting to see the world gathering on a global stage to address food source issues that we are currently facing and we will continue to face in the future,” said Adriana DiFazio, a student ambassador from Barnard College in New York.

The future of the food system is high on the menu at the Milan Expo, which runs through October 31. The USA Pavilion, titled “American Food 2.0: United to Feed the Planet,” focuses on the United States as a food innovator.

Interactive exhibits highlight how U.S. farmers, scientists, businesses and government agencies are finding ways to feed the world’s growing population. Visitors also can taste the high-quality foods and unique ingredients that make American cuisine so diverse.

The student ambassadors are the public face of the USA Pavilion. They come from 94 universities across the United States and include speakers of 28 languages, including Italian, Arabic, French and Mandarin.

“I look forward to the opportunity to interact with other cultures, and help share my understanding of the challenges and possible solutions to feeding the world’s growing population,” DiFazio said.
