Fish and Wildlife Service)“野生动物无国界”项目(Wildlife Without Borders)送上一张10,000美元的支票。

In an August 27 pregame ceremony, the Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball team presented a $10,000 check to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Wildlife Without Borders program.
The team’s fans are encouraged to donate spare change at the Pennies for Paws tiger bank, located near the main entrance at Comerica Park, where the team plays home games. Since its inception in April 2008, the campaign has raised nearly $53,000.
The Detroit team also supports the Save Vanishing Species Stamp (an oversized version shown being held above), a special first-class stamp issued by the U.S. Postal Service, which has generated more than $2.3 million for conservation to date.
Since 1989, Wildlife Without Borders has provided more than 2,700 grants for international conservation totaling more than $100 million. The program has worked with nearly 700 partners in developing countries, who have contributed more than $200 million in matching support for grant projects, tripling the impact of USFWS funding.
