News and World Report)的资料,实际上七姐妹女子学院(Seven Sisters colleges)中有6所——历史上清一色的女子学院——在种族多样性方面位居前40名。

Originally founded to provide women with educational opportunities equal to those available to men, women’s colleges are among the most diverse colleges in the United States.
International students spot a turtle along the path at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. With international students composing 26 percent of its student body, Mount Holyoke is one of the most ethnically diverse liberal arts colleges in the United States. In fact, six of the Seven Sisters colleges — historically women-only institutions — rank in the top 40 for ethnic diversity, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Established between 1837 and 1889, the Seven Sisters colleges were founded to provide women with educational opportunities equal to those available to men at Ivy League institutions. Mount Holyoke — initially established as a female seminary — was the first member of the Seven Sisters colleges and created a model for its sister colleges.
Spread out across the U.S. Northeast, the Seven Sisters institutions include Mount Holyoke, Radcliffe, Smith and Wellesley colleges in Massachusetts, Barnard and Vassar colleges in New York, and Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. Both Radcliffe and Vassar are now coeducational institutions.
