章节三十

一切真理都在一切事物内部静候着，
它们既不急于促进自己的分娩也不抗拒分娩，
它们并不需要外科医生的催生钳子，
极微末的对我说来也和任何事物一样巨大，
(比一次接触少一点或多一点的又是什么呢?)

逻辑和说教从来没有说服力，
黑夜的潮湿更加能深入我的灵魂。

(只有能在每一个男子和妇女面前证实自己的才是实证，
只有无人能否认的才是实证。)

我的一刹那和一点滴使我的头脑清醒，
我相信湿透了的泥块会成为情侣和灯光，
一个男子或妇女的肉体是要领中的要领，
他们对彼此的感情是顶峰又是花朵，
他们会从这一教训中无限地孳生，直到它能够创造一切，
直到一切的一切都使我们欣喜，我们也使它们欣喜。

All truths wait in all things,

They neither hasten their own delivery nor resist it,

They do not need the obstetric forceps of the surgeon,

The insignificant is as big to me as any,

(What is less or more than a touch?)

Logic and sermons never convince,

The damp of the night drives deeper into my soul.

(Only what proves itself to every man and woman is so,

Only what nobody denies is so.)

A minute and a drop of me settle my brain,

I believe the soggy clods shall become lovers and lamps,

And a compend of compends is the meat of a man or woman,

And a summit and flower there is the feeling they have for each other,

And they are to branch boundlessly out of that lesson until it becomes omnific,

And until one and all shall delight us, and we them.
