2012年赴美游客人数打破记录，消费水平创1,681亿美元的最高纪录，较2011年增长逾9个百分点。
2012年4月参加圣安东尼奥节（Fiesta San Antonio）的游客只是旅游大军中的一部分。2012年度，美国旅行和旅游业创1,681亿美元的新纪录，较2011年增长了9个百分点以上。
美国商务部（U.S. Commerce Department）负责国际贸易的副部长弗朗西斯科·桑切斯（Francisco Sánchez）表示，“欧巴马政府承诺采取具体措施吸引和欢迎国际游客，支持这些积极趋势。”商务部在2月22日发布2012年旅游业报告。
2012年发布的国家旅游旅行战略（National Tourism and Travel Strategy）要求使赴美旅游更容易，对游客更有吸引力。其目标是每年吸引1亿国际游客。
圣安东尼奥节是美国最精彩的文化活动之一，将于2013年4月18日至28日举行。届时得克萨斯州圣安东尼奥市（San Antonio，Texas）全市一共将有11场大游行，并将举办100多场烹饪、音乐、文化和节日活动。今年是第122届圣安东尼奥节。

These tourists visiting Fiesta San Antonio in April 2012 were part of a surge. Travel and tourism to the United States hit a record $168.1 billion in 2012, an increase of more than 9 percent from 2011.
“The Obama administration is committed to support these positive trends by taking concrete steps to attract and welcome international visitors to the United States,” said Francisco Sánchez, under secretary of commerce for international trade. The U.S. Commerce Department reported the 2012 total February 22.
The National Travel and Tourism Strategy, released in 2012, calls for making visits to the United States easier and more interesting for travelers. The goal is to welcome 100 million international visitors each year.
Fiesta San Antonio is one of the nation’s most colorful cultural events. It runs April 18–28 in 2013. The citywide celebration in San Antonio, Texas, includes 11 parades and more than 100 other culinary, musical, cultural and festive events. This year is the 122nd Fiesta San Antonio.
