佐治亚州水族馆(The Georgia Aquarium)是唯一一座具有兽医教学医院功能的公共水族馆。
位于亚特兰大市（Atlanta）的佐治亚州水族馆（(The Georgia Aquarium)是全世界最大的水族馆，水容量达3,700多万公升，动物数量超过任何其他水族馆。水族馆有60多个展厅，讲述全球有关水的故事，可发挥启智、娱乐和教育的功能。
水族馆是家得宝(Home Depot)公司创始人伯尼·马库斯(Bernie Marcus)送给亚特兰大市民的一件礼物。他希望以此报答对他的成功作出很多贡献的顾客、员工和股东。他捐出了2.5亿美元，使水族馆在无负债的情况下于2003年对外开放。
自那时以来，水族馆已吸引了1,100多万游客，同时确立了在水生动物保护和研究方面的领先地位。

The Georgia Aquarium is the only entity to join a public aquarium and a veterinary medicine teaching hospital.
As world’s largest aquarium, Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium has more animals than any other aquarium in more than 37 million liters of water. Through more than 60 exhibits, it tells a global water story, with features designed to inspire, entertain and educate.
The aquarium was a gift to the people of Atlanta from Home Depot founder Bernie Marcus, who wanted to thank the customers, workers and stockholders who had contributed so much to his success. His $250 million gift allowed the aquarium to open debt-free in 2003.
Since then, it has attracted more than 11 million visitors and established itself as a leading facility for aquatic animal conservation and research.
