欢迎参加科学先生的演出!

“科学先生” Tim Perkins是美国著名的少儿科学教育家和科学知识推广家, 强调通过 “寓教于乐”的方式推广科学教育。他在美国佛罗里达州的“科学先生儿童实验室”广受当地儿童和家长的欢迎。他擅长借助简单的器具和活跃的互动风格在向儿童讲解传授科学知识的同时，提供给少年儿童们愉快的学习体验并激发他们对科学的好奇心和兴趣，让孩子们在笑声中学习科学，并启发他们的创造性思维。

“科学先生”的演示项目在教育孩子们的同时，也向老师和学生的家长介绍美国的科普和教育方式，使他们在儿童教育的问题上得到启发。

蒂姆·帕金斯, “科学先生”

蒂姆·“科学先生”帕金斯，不仅仅是一个独一无二的怪才，可能还是当今最杰出的知识推广者。

科学先生，是他最广为人知的称呼。他出生并成长在美国登月梦起飞的佛罗里达航天海岸。在获得广告学学位后，成为了一名商业艺术家，为产品开发、市场营销和设计等领域提供经验。他在电台以及电视台的工作经验，促进了他对有线电视科学节目发展的管理。这些经验帮助他充分利用“媒体销售”技巧来促进他热爱的事业，即通过“寓教于乐”来推广科学教育。

科学先生说，现在争着占据孩子们思想的有两类人：教育者和广告商。“寓教于乐”就是用广告商最好的技巧来推广教育。

20年以来，他一直面向来自不同年龄层次，不同语言和不同人群做现场报告，他现在举办的诸多研讨会这是这一努力的结果。积极的研究，不间断的学习，以及对知识的永不知足的渴求使他的研讨会主题不断扩大。他最热衷的研讨会是对教师的培训。

科学先生和他的妻子梅兰妮有五个成年子女，住在弗罗里达州的卫星滩。他们一起工作和旅行，通过自己的公司- 香蕉盒子路演公司的介绍科学和音乐节目。科学先生是布里瓦德特殊艺术（VSA）社区顾问委员会的领袖，为美国男童子军提供志愿服务并在“科学先生儿童实验室”从事科学介绍。

Tim “Mr. Science” Perkins is more than your typical geek; he’s also quite possibly the best “salesman” of Knowledge around.

Mr. Science, as he is best known, was born and raised on Florida's Space Coast as the USA raced to the moon. With a degree in advertising, his work as a commercial artist provided experience in product development, marketing and design. His background in radio and television, facilitated supervision of the development of science programs for cable T.V. That experience led him to use his "media selling" skills to promote his passion, Science Education through “Edutainment”.

Mr. Science says, “There are two groups battling for our children's minds; educators and advertisers.”Edutainment" is educating using the best techniques of the advertisers.”

His current workshops are the results of over two decades of live presentations to multiple ages, languages, and demographic groups. Aggressive research and ongoing study fueled by an insatiable appetite for knowledge have created a varied palate of continually expanding topics. Some of his favorite workshops are teaching the teachers.

Mr. Science and his wife, Melany have five grown children and live in Satellite Beach, Florida. They work and travel together presenting Science and Music programs through their company, Banana Box Road shows. Mr. Science is leader in his community serving on the advisory board of Very Special Arts Brevard, volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America and conducting science presentations at The Mr. Science Children’s Laboratory.
