“企业号”航天飞机飞抵纽约新家，将在这里长期对公众展出。
“企业号” （Enterprise）航天飞机由一架波音747飞机运载飞越哈德逊河（Hudson River），落户纽约市“无畏号海洋航空航天博物馆”（Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum）。
作为第一架航天飞机，“企业号”既没有发动机，也没有热防护系统，而是被制造成一个试验平台。
它最早被命名为“宪法号”，但1960年代“星际旅行”（Star Trek）电视剧集的粉丝们热切要求杰拉德·福特总统（President Gerald Ford）用剧集中美国航舰“企业号”的名字命名这架航天飞机，并最终说服了他。“星际旅行”的剧组成员出席了1976年“企业号”的建成仪式。

The space shuttle Enterprise arrives in its new home, New York City, where it will go on public display.
The space shuttle Enterprise flies along the Hudson River atop a 747 carrier aircraft on the way to its new home in New York City at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
The first space shuttle, Enterprise was built without an engine or heat shield to serve as a test bed.
It started life with a different name, Constitution, but an impassioned campaign by fans of the 1960s television show Star Trek convinced President Gerald Ford to name it for the show’s USS Enterprise. Star Trek cast members attended Enterprise’s dedication ceremony in 1976.
