Should College Students Write the Thesis to Get the Degree?

In most universities in China, the graduates are required to write a thesis ①of a certain length to get the degree. However, this long tradition has been ②challenged by some experts who ③are against the writing of the thesis. So far as I am concerned, the graduates may still need to write the project to finish their university studies.

First and foremost, the writing of the thesis is a very good practice for the students.
