盤口直經28.4厘米,底足直經18.2厘米

 

此盤為典型康熙中期青花大盤。造型規整,胎體厚重。在裝飾上,以四瓣花錦地紋作為外圈邊飾,鏤空雕作為第二層邊飾而內圈飾則用圈草紋。盤體外側以圈草紋、鏤雕和四組對稱變體蟠螭龍紋裝飾。主體裝飾為山水人物圖。

 

康熙年間,山水畫在瓷器上的主流風格以仿明末清初的名家畫風為主。此盤所繪山水和王時敏的畫風有驚人的相似。在構圖處理上,遠、中、近景以水或雲气相聯,山巒起伏,層次分明。在樹枝、樹葉、遠山、近石等的用筆上我們看到傳統中國畫中點、線、勾、皺、染、等的繪畫技巧的熟練運用。

This blue and white landscape platter, with the formal design and the rather heavy and thick vitreous glaze, is typical of work of the mid-Kangxi period. The design on the first outer rim is made up of a four-petal flower pattern. The second inner rim is hollow-carved while the third inner rim is made of curled grass design. The middle of the plate is decorated with a landscape with a figure. The outside bottom of the plate is trimmed with a curled grass pattern, a ring of hollow-carved design and four groups of formally balanced stylized chameleons. 

 

In the period of Kangxi, porcelain landscape painting modeled after the styles of major masters of the late Ming and early Qing traditions. The painting of landscape on this plate bears an uncanny resemblance to the painting style of Wang Shimin. The mountains in the distance, the water in the mid ground and trees and the rocks in the foreground create a strong sense of multiple layering of air and space. From the way the dots, ticks, lines, creases and strokes were used we can sense the high level of technical skill used in the painting.
