1963年8月28日，George Raving在马丁路德金发表了他最著名的＂我有个梦想＂演讲后获得了Dr.
King亲手给他的原稿。数十年后，有人曾提价350万买原稿，Raving拒绝了，并要求儿子也永远不能出售获利。 他说：＂原稿是属于美国和黑人的，它不属于我，试图从中获利是可耻的，有负我父母和奶奶对我的教育。生命中的一切不用金钱衡量。＂
Raving原话:＂The
speech belongs to America,the speech belongs to black folks, it
doesn't belong to me, and it would be sacrilegious of me to try and
sell it to profit from it. I would like to think somewhere out
there, my mom and dad and my grandma taught me better than that.
And everything in life you can't equate in money.＂
