After having been defeated in the elections, the former Prime Minister retired from political life and went abroad. Patrick, who was a fanatic opponent of Mr. Lane's Radical Progressive Party, went to his house three times and asked the policeman whether Mr. Lane lived there. When the policeman got angry at the third time and told that he had been defeated and taken retirement. Patrick said it was something that he loved to hear. (81words)

Since he was defeated in the elections, the former Prime Minister had retired and went abroad. As a fanatical opponent of Mr. Lane's Radical Progressive Party, Patrick went to his house three times. Each time he asked the policeman if Mr. Lane lived there. At the third time the policeman got angry. He was told the former Prime Minister was defeated and took retirement, but this was something he loved to hear. (79 words)

A politician was giving a pre-election speech. He stood in the front of the dais and started his speech to the audience. He said if he were selected successfully, he would put more public funds into the public facilities prosperity. He made many big promises. In his plans there were more economic house to be built for the workers and many schools to be biult for the students. In a word, he would intend to conduct a better foreign policy. (87 words)

After that the members of the present audience asked him some rude questions to challenge his wisdom. He couldn't perfectly answer these questions and lost his temper. He said that the audience didn't deserve more houses. The audience became quiet and started to leave. The politician saw this situation and walked off angrily. At last he was defeated in the election. (152 words)
