Busmen's strike begins on Tuesday, which may last a week. Because of this car owners prepare to offer free rides to people going to work. University students are volunteered to drive the bus, too. But they must pass a special test. Though it is difficult to get to work, public are grateful. Only one or two objected that the students will drive too fast.（74 words）

University students who are volunteered to drive the buses must pass a special test. Despite the fact that it is difficult to get to work, public are grateful except for one or two who objected that the students will drive too fast.（70 words）  

Composition answer（作文答案参考    updated 2007.04.10）

The strike began. The busmen refused to drive any bus. Many buses were stopped on the road. Many people couldn't find a bus to go to work. The students were volunteered to drive the buses, but they drove badly so that the buses were seldom on time. As a result, the buses often crowded on the road. The public complained of the bad transportation situation but the busmen were pleased to see this. (74 words)

 

The students were not going to give up. They threatened to go on strike. They did so.They started to march on the street. People couldn't find the right buses to work again and complained of the busmen completely. This angered the busmen who returned to work. So they started to train the students how to drive the bus and called on the striking busmen to back to their seats again. Soon the strike was miraculously stopped and the transportation recovered from the disorder. (83 words)
