昨天和同事下班后很晚去踢球，一直到天黑，大家心情都好多了。今天我的心情更好，为在香港大学新闻系两个资助中国大陆学生的奖学金寄了支票。一个是以我的恩师 William Woo 命名的，另一个是以我的朋友Arnold Zeitlin 过世的太太 Vicky Shek Zeitlin 命名的。
   虽然我的数额可能微不足道，已经是我工资相当的一部分。主要是为了这个崇高的事业。想想自己从几个新闻项目中的收获就知道应有更多人受益。
   其实美国的慈善文化和传统让我深受影响。美国是世界上个人慈善做得最好的国家之一。中国人往往到了大灾大难才行动。
