迪春节前有阵子很喜欢看《极速蜗牛》，连玩彩泥都做了两个Turbo。那时我刚好翻到I Can Read系列中的这本The Adventures of Snail at School，正好推荐给迪阅读。

一看封面，Snail站在灭火器上，灭火器似乎变成了火箭喷起来，就知道这本书对于爱探险和想象的孩子来说一定会喜欢。

这本书里有三个小故事，是Snail在学校的三次历险。

故事是怎么开始的呢？每一次Mrs. Harvey都会对全班同学提出一个帮忙的请求，比如"It is story time, class! Would someone go to the library and pick up our books from Mr. Moody?""Class, we will have a new student today. Will someone pick her up from the principal's office?""Who will go to the music room for me?"可以想象，每一次都是Snail跳着脚的喊着"I will.""I will.""I can do it."

Mrs. Harvey每次多少有些无奈，叮嘱着Snail快些回来。搞笑吧，蜗牛的慢是出了名的，偏偏不巧每次还都是只有Snail那么积极，那它能不能快速的回来呢？它会以什么样的方式快起来呢？孩子们都不禁会有自己的一些想象。

接下来Snail还真的全速冲到了Library，可是，等等，Snail的跑的方向怎么不是要进大门，而是冲向了饮水池。原来这个小家伙口渴了，嘿嘿，这下会发生什么？

发大水了，Snail玩了起来。

看，冲浪板就是标题页的那根铅笔。

冲浪结束，Snail找到图书馆里被大水冲出来的书，关掉了饮水池，带着图书回来了。Mrs. Harvey一定等了很长时间才会说"There you are, Snail. We were wondering what happened to you."Snail当然是把这个过程都实话实说了。可Mrs. Harvey怎么听着都像是它在编故事，所以每次都会回答"do not make up such wild stories."这里总会让人想到《爱讲故事的小鱼儿》和《迟到大王》，都是上学迟到发生了许多奇奇怪怪的经历，而那里的小伙伴或老师并不相信那些故事。

Mrs. Harvey翻着这些书湿湿的，心中多少也是感觉很奇怪的，想问Snail，叫完了它，又忍住了，所以最后总是说"Never mind. Never mind."这里可以看出这个老师对孩子还是蛮包容和尊重的，没有继续追问和戳穿。

Snail的后面两个故事更是夸张，它去接新同学，竟然乘着灭火器飞到了外太空，降落到了另一个星球，参加了那里的一个大派对，然后乘着它们的火箭，带了一个外星的小朋友回到了地球，成了它们的新同学。Mrs. Harvey等了那么久起初也是不大相信这个故事的。可是当她一转头看见Edie is floating!着实吓了一跳。看看最后Mrs. Harvey说Never mind时的表情，够可爱吧？

最后这个故事去取乐器。看Snail跳得有多高！抢着要去帮忙。Mrs. Harvey问问还有没有其他人愿意去？竟然没有。只好又靠你啦，Snail。

这一次Mrs. Harvey更是千叮咛万嘱咐，还附加了"do not get lost, and do not come back with some silly story."这张图的表情很有趣，Snail乐呵呵的大步向前走，后面都冒了烟了。Mrs.Harvey紧张又无可奈何的絮絮叨叨，而教室里的其他同学呢？则笑嘻嘻的扒着门口往外看，哈哈，原来这些同学每次都不去也是为了看到这个景象啊。

这一次指挥棒有了魔法，指挥哪个乐器，哪个就开始演奏，不同的乐器声音都不一样哦。

这一次的结尾，Mrs. Harvey喊Snail时不再是问号而是逗号了，所以无论从语气还是表情都更接受Snail了。

迪看完第一遍印象最深的就是这句"Never mind. Never mind."
