I remember I went to Longji Rice Terraces for sightseeing with
my family in 2009. You can click the link,
http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_625709590100ese7.html, to see what I
had experienced.
But it was a little pity that we didn't see such beautiful harvest
scenes, which I will show you in this article, because it was in
July.
The Longji Terraces are located in the county of Longsheng, about 108 kilometers away from the capital city of Guilin.

The Terraces was formed gradually starting from during the Yuan Dynasty and ending during the Mid-period of Qing Dynasty, which has been called 'the champion of the terrace world' for centuries.
The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the
riverside up to the mountain top. The highest tier is 880 meters
above the river while the lowest is 380 meters in
elevation.
What surprised me most is to keep fish in the fields, which
can benefit both fish and rice.
This ingenious construction makes best use of the scarce
arable land and water resources in the mountainous
area.
The attractions change due to the different seasons, but
around the Middle-Autumn is the best time for appreciating the
charming natural scenes of terraces.
It is reported that most of the residents living in this area
are Zhuang minority.
Rural buildings set on hills as well as bluish flying ribbons
worn by the local people make the area more charming and
attractive.
