TheJinjiLakeofSuzhou

SUZHOU-Jinji Lake is China's largest urban lake and is home to
a great number of cultural, entertainment, commercial and business
facilites, which is located in the estern of ancient
Suzhou.

Both of the old and the new of Suzhou look like the double-sided embroidery, one kind of Suzhou traditional handcraft.

The Jinji Lake has become the latest Chinese landmark to enjoy global fame.

The lake area was designed by EDAW, a United States architectural firm that has worked with Disney Theme Parks, as well as eight other themed attractions in Suzhou, including Harmony Times Square, the Ferris Wheel Park, the musical fountain, Ligongdi, Linglong Bay, Lakeside Street, the water corridor with art and culture facilites, and Jinji Lake Bridge.

SIP/苏州工业园区

The main functions include MICE, tourism, modern art &
culture, leisure and life, especially for expats, who already work
and live in the SIP.
There are two artificial islands in the lake, namely the
Taohua Island/桃花岛 and Linglong Island/玲珑岛. They were made of the
clays when the lake was cleared over 25 years ago. The Linglong
Island is not allowed to be visited, while the Taohua Island is
developed for tourism.
The Gate of the Orient/东方之门 has become Chinese famous
landmark, but it seems like a mirage from the other side of the
lake.
The Moonlight Wharf/月光码头 gathers a lot of international
restaurants and bars, so tourists from all over the world prefer to
have their lesisure time in this area. Of course, tourists can take
a lake cruise around the lake by yachts.
The lake has earned high praise around the world. A tourism
APP for Jinji Lake, providing information about transportation,
food, accommodation and other resources in the area is available to
the public.
