On May Day Holidays, we received 7 American writers. They were
fascinated by Suzhou traditional culture and artwork when they
really had a memorable experience in Suzhou typical gardens, silk
factory, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) museum, water towns,
and cuisine for three days.
Considering crowded holidays, we made a new & creative
schedule for them. Here was the detailed itinerary as
follows.
We booked one elegant hotel out of the downtown of ancient
Suzhou, where it was convenient for us to scatter elsewhere. We
held the welcoming lunch at the hotel.
We visited Liliangji TCM museum/李良济中医馆 and two of Suzhou
Embroidery workshops at the first
day.
The TCM museum was open to the public in 2017. The writers were curious about how the taditional Chinese medicine was made.

Of course, they could make it happen under the instruction of
the rich-experienced staff.
The most impressive is that medical expert would give some
suggestions to patients after he watched and checked them seriously
on the site. So the museum seemed like a clinic, where the patients
can take their TCM according to the medical
prescription.
Embroidery is another amazing artwork of Suzhou.
We arranged two famous private workshops for them to visit at
Zhenhu/镇湖.
The master of Ms. Yaohuifeng/姚惠芬 gave them a vivid & detailed introducation about the artwork of Suzhou Embroidery.

The following day, we transferred to visit No. 1 Silk Factory,
the Master-of-Nets Garden and Tongli water town.
Suzhou is also called the city of silk. They could witness all the process how the silk was made. Based on the documentary, Suzhou accounted for over half of total silk volume of productionin the Qing dynasty of China.
Suzhou gardens are the must-see attractions if you are the first time to visit it. 9 of Suzhou classical gardens have been designated as the world cultural herritage sites by UNESCO.
Suzhou local people love eating noodle beyond our imagination. This was crowded scene of one popular noodle restaurant at lunch time.
Tongli is one of ideal water towns in China. More and more foreign tourists are attracted by its serene beauty.

Many people don't believe all bricks on underground Forbidden City were from Suzhou. What's more, the designer was also from Suzhou, whose name was Mr. Kuaixiang/蒯祥. The museum must convince each visitor that the bricks made by Suzhou Imperial Kiln Brick were the best of best in China.
Suzhou Museum was designed by world-famous archtect, Mr. I.M. Pei, who was born and grew in his childhood in Suzhou. Many visitors come to visit Suzhou museum just because of its unique archtecture rather than cultural relic collections.
The Tiger Hill is the top 1 must-see attraction of Suzhou because many historical stories were hidden here.
Suzhou Pingtian is the typical art of storytelling. Some people said that it was the most beautiful sound of China.
