The opening ceremony of one specil activity called A Memorable Experience of the Famed Waterways in Suzhou was happening in the front of Panmen city gate. Almost one thousand American tourists participated in the opening ceremony and some senior officals from CNTA, Jiangsu government also attended.

Panmen/盘门 is one of the typical city gates of old Suzhou, which has over 2500 years's long history with rich culture.

Wumen bridge/吴门桥 is the highest ancient one in Suzhou in term of the arch, which was first built in 1084 in Song Dynasty.

Warriors dressing in Wu style's costumes stood along Wumen bridge, which seemed as if we dated back to 2500 years ago.

Pretty girls in Chinese traditional costumes were welcoming all American tourists, who just got off from the boats.

The first American group landing on the whalf were eager to take the photos.

Some local cultural shows were performing along the road or on the stage before the opening ceremony.

Welcoming drums beating started the opening ceremony.

Senior officals and VIP American guests were sitting in the first line.

Suzhou Mayor was sealing the identification to allow American tourists to enter into barbican.

Suzhou warmly welcomed every American tourist.

American tourists were impressed by the unique opening ceremony. Some of them came from America directly and the rest were from China, who had already been working, living in Shanghai, Beijing for some periods.

All of them were gathering in Suzhou on Oct. 15 to witness the grand opening ceremony.

Authentic wedding ceremony on the water was also attracting many American tourists.

They were enjoying Chinese traditional cultural performance when they tasted local snacks and western food outdoors.
