The grand opening ceremony of Suzhou: A Memorable Experience of the Famed Waterways will happen on the afternoon of Oct. 15, which is also one of the most important activities of 2016 China-US Tourism Year. Almost one thousand American tourists from the U.S. or all over China are coming to attend the opening ceremony. I would like to unclose what they can experience from 2:30pm-6:00 at that day.

Before 2:30pm, Xinshiqiao Wharf/新市桥码头

Take the boat to experience amazing Venice of the East/东方威尼斯 around the city moat.

3:30pm-4:00pm

Senior officials from China National Tourism Administration, Jiangsu Government and Suzhou Government will accompany all American tourists to enter into old city gate. What's more, over 200 warriors dressing in Wu-style's clothes extend their warm welcome to all the guests standing on two sides of the entrance.

4:00pm-4:30pm

Watch Suzhou traditional wedding show on the water inside Panmen scenic spot to experience local folk custom.

4:30pm-6:00pm

Taste local snacks & western dessert while enjoying culture performance including Kunqu opera and Pingtian storytelling.
