Amsterdam is not only the capital of Netherland, but also one of the most popular international tourist destinations all over the world. We can't stop loving it even though we spent only two days there.

The first impression of Amsterdam was that it was ancient city with rich culture and long history when we came out of the central station.

What's more, Amsterdam is the real king of bicycles because we saw so many crowded bicycles around us along the streets.

Furthermore, Amsterdam is embraced by the canals everywhere so that it has been called Northern Venice.

We can see canals on any street, which seems the city was built on the water.

We like rambling around old streets in the downtown.

Dam Square is very popular gathering point for tourists and also one of the hallmarks of Amsterdam.

The Royal Palace is just next to Dam Square, which was built originally as the city hall in 17 century, but it used to be the royal palace by Napoleon's brother.

Local people would like to sale and buy their second-hand daily goods such as books, clothes in the front of the palace on weekends, which is also welcomed by tourists.

We learned the royal family tree and many stories in the palace, where royal gallery happened to be hold.

It was interesting to understand the stories, which some elaborate stone carvings depicted on the first floor.

Royal families don't live here at all. National government of Netherland receives counterparts from other countries in the palace. Moreover, most of big royal event or news often happened here, for instances, royal wedding news usually is announced on the second windows.

We loved to lie down the meadow leisurely like local people.

Dutch is also the hometown of tulips. We saw a lot of tulips' seeds in the flower market even though it was not the blooming season of tulips.

They looked as if they were real tulip flowers, actually, they were made of woods. Of course, they were smelt nothing.

Cheese is very common food around Europe, but it is reported the cheese from Dutch is the best.

Amsterdam holds Cheese festival every year, which is very popular by tourists.

We happened to go throught local famous fast food restaurant. People can take their favouriate food automatically if they cast some money into the machine.

Many people would like to eat here.

It was funny to buy the food without attendants and my son was very curious about how the food was updated when the food was taken out of.

There are over 160 rivers around Amsterdam. You can't imagine how busy the boats are been running on the water if you don't witness on your own eyes in Amsterdam.

There are so many different boats that people can choose their favouriate boats.

People can even eat or sleep on the boats.

Many boats are stopped along the canals. We thought many local family must have their own boats rather than not being operated by companies.

We visited National Museum in the following day, where a lot of world-famous paintings are exhibited.

Night Watch is a very well-known picture painted by world-famous artist-Rembrandt, who I have already mentioned last issue.

There are many relic from all over the world and Dutch in the museum.

The most fascinateting is the shop and restaurant located at the exit of the museum. We planed to have our lunch at the restaurant, but we gave up when we had to spend a lot time to wait in long line.

It is very creative to design the statue of 'I am sterdam' to intrigue people love the city of Amsterdam. Many people like taking photos in the front of statue.

It was nice to lie down mealow just like local people.

There are always crowded people in the front of Von Gogh gallery.

There are more than 400 original pictures painted by Von Gogh himself, but photos aren't permitted being taken inside so we didn't take any photos of the paintings.

We missed the diamond factory.

We saw many people experiencing VR on our way to the boat.

We found some local souvenirs in the tourist center.

Walking tour was very popular by international tourists.

It is strong recommended to ride bikes around old downtown and it is easy to rent the bikes on the streets.

We were eager to wait in long line to buy popular typical potato chips.

We ate fresh tasty fried chips at last after spending 20 minutes.

We booked one boat as our hotel in Amsterdam. It was interesting and secret that we couldn't find it when we came back the following afternoon because it moved to other place.

It had ten rooms in the boat.

The lobby is also a nice public rest room. 

My son liked reading on the boat.

The breakfast was simple but enough to be fill our stomaches.

We were from different countries but got along well with each other.

The sunset was so beautiful.

We were lucky to see wonderful big rainbow after heavy rain.
