Hanshan Temple was located outside of Northwestern Suzhou in old times, but it is indeed inside Suzhou with the rapid development of urbanization.

Hanshan Temple was built in South dynasty 1500 plus years ago and has been more and more famous since the famous poem called mooring at the Fengqiao bridge at night. 

Suzhou is also called Oriental Water City and the Grand Canal from Hangzhou to Beijing is passing through it. The boats were often moored at the Fengqiao bridge when people took them to and fro in old times.

Hanshan Temple has been more and more prosperous since it was well-known.

I happened to attend the opening ceremony of the Hall of 500 Arhats in Hanshan Temple on the morning of the last day of 2015 and was deeply touched by its mysterious rituals.

A lot of monk masters were invited to pray for the new opening of the Hall of 500 Arhats.

Of course, many buddhists came from around China voluntarily.

Most importantly, Hanshan Temple Bell Ringing Festivities have been hold for 37 years continually. 

The stairs are directed to the Bell which is struck on the eve of each new year.

The Bell of Hanshan Temple is kept on the top of bell building.

The person with one paper in his left hand, named Mr. Huang Guofan, has been counting the bell ringing times for total 37 years.

More and more visitors are flocking to Hanshan Temple to listen to the 108 times' Bell Ringing on the eve of New Year coming.

A lot of folk-custom performers are coming to celebrate the coming new year.

One bell twined with another in South Pole was settled down at Hanshan Temple permanently.   

The Suzhou Mayor is delivering the coming New Year's remarks.

People are listening to the bell ringing and eager for the coming New Year.

All the visitors are excited when 2016 is really coming.
