We arrived at Edinburgh at 8:15pm according to planed time yesterday evening. When we came out of rail station, we felt strongly Edinburgh was a real old city because we were all around old castle-style buildings. It seemed that we were back to hundred years ago.

Edinburgh has a lot of castles in Scotland, but Edinburgh castle is the most popular attraction. So we go to it in the morning. We hire two audio faculties because many historical stories happened here. Moreover, we can see the oldest and highest building including St Margaret’s Chapel, Royal Palace, Stone of Destiny, Scottish Crown Jewels and National War Museum of Scotland. We happen to go to Calton Hill when we come down form Edinburgh castle. Calton Hill is just like a big public park, where we meet a lot of Chinese students from Changzhou. It consists of some ancient relics such as monument, observatory and so on. What’s more, it is the best place to overview the city of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is very famous for its old history and rich culture. So it must have a lot of interesting and scaring stories happened in the history. How and where can we understand them?
