Puji Temple is the top one in Putuo Island , which doesn’t mean it is the biggest one. From the space, Puji temple maybe not the biggest one, but it is the oldest one. What’s more, Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty happened to know Buddhist abbot of Puji temple, and asked the abbot to work for him in Beijing . The abbot rejected him, but he had a good relation with Emperor Kangxi. From that moment, Puji temple is well-known in China . It has been keeping the top temple which received the most tourists every year in Putuo Island until now.
