Bochishan Scenic Spot is situated at the south of Huaian city, Jiangsu Province. It has beautiful natural environment and long historical history, especially Dao culture. There are some high quality hotels around Qizi Lake, which is the centre of Bochishan Scenic Spot.

Though it is very beautiful, it is almost for the local people, not for tourists. If it would establish National AAA Scenic Area, it should continue to enhance the tourism function and improve tourism service.

Firstly, they should show and enhance their own tourism feature. There are some tourism resources, such as beautiful scenery, Dao culture and some marine activities. But what is the best advantage of them, which can compete with other cities. In my opinion, there are two ways to step up tourism feature. One is to hold much more cultural activities, which is relative with Dao Culture, and the other is to build much more convenient facilities, which is for business tourists.

Secondly, they should improve their service for tourists. Tourist’s demand is very different from the local people, so the service facilities should be built very differently. For example, only one visitor center is not enough for such a big scenic spots. On the one hand, they should enlarge the visitor centre. On the other hand, they should set up the visitor service system. More free tourism information and convenient facilities should be added up around the lake.

Thirdly, they should promote very widely and deeply. Even if their tourism products are very good, tourists don’t know it at all and it will be useless and wasteful for such good products. So they should promote tourism market according to different tourists’ demand. From my point of view, they should focus on internet promotion.

Finally, they should build up their development abilities. They can’t only depend on the ticket revenue to develop tourism industry. They should think over more ways to develop more relative industries, such as hotels, catering, shopping, and so on. Only you have improved your running abilities, and you can develop tourism industry well.
