大家好，我是英国驻华贸易投资参赞摩根。

这是我代表英国贸易投资总署的第一篇博文。我很高兴以这个博客为平台，与大家探讨中英商界机遇。以后，我还将邀请英国驻华各使领馆贸易投资处，英中贸易协会的同事与嘉宾为我们贡献博文。

我们博客的第一个嘉宾是于7月22日访问北京的戴维斯勋爵，戴维斯勋爵在五个月前离开渣打银行的职务，正式任职英国政府贸易投资和商业部长。这是戴维斯勋爵第三次访问中国。部长先生在访问期间将每日撰文，讲述他在北京，杭州和上海的见闻和感受。

戴维斯勋爵此行将与中国信息通讯技术行业的部长、官员和企业家见面。还将在北京的第二届中英互联网圆桌会议以及杭州的中英携手创新（ICT）研讨会上发言。

在如今的经济形式下，英国企业仍然保持了在中国的良好发展态势，英国保持了欧盟对华最大投资国的地位。在中国各地，我都看到了英国企业欣欣向荣发展的景象。在对英投资方面，我也很欣喜地看到，相比欧盟其他国家，更多的中国企业选择了在英国投资。

UK Trade & Investment in China begins its first blog today. We’ll be talking about British and Chinese business opportunities. We’ll have contributions from all the Foreign Office posts across China, the China Britain Business Council and many others.

Our first guest blogger will be Lord Davies of Abersoch, who is coming to Beijing tomorrow. Mervyn Davies joined the British Government as Minister for Trade, Investment and Business 5 months ago from Standard Chartered Bank and this is his third visit to China so far. He will post daily his experiences - and impressions - of a varied programme over the next few days across Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

Lord Davies will meet government ministers, senior officials and also entrepreneurs in the information communication technology sector. He will speak at the second China-UK internet forum in Beijing and the Enabling Innovation seminar in Hangzhou.

Despite today’s economic climate, UK business remains strong in China.  We remain the EU’s largest investor in China and when I travel across the country I regularly see examples of British companies thriving.  With inward investment more Chinese companies choose to invest in the UK than anywhere else in the EU.
