Tapas
is the practice of self-discipline, leading to a life of
principal.
This is important especially for yoga
practitioners - maintaining a disciplined diet, steady practice and
schedule, avoiding bad crowds and negative influences. By
practicing tapas, impurities are destroyed, and the body and sense
organs will gain spiritual power. Our mindset should be focused in
one place - in our spiritual practice. The mind likes to wander.
Negative influences distract the mind. Through this practice, we
can discipline and focus the mind to achieve our spiritual
goals.
By practicing self-discipline, impurities are
destroyed, and then the body and sense organs will gain spiritual
